The Global Warming Predicament

Statement: More than a million species worldwide could be driven to extinction by 2050.

After quite a bit of research I have found the same results. I didn’t get any real statistics saying 1,000,000 so I guess I can’t give a definite yes but I found enough statistics to say that there are close to one million species in danger. When you think about it, it’s not that hard to believe. The animals and other species are having the same issues as us, the earth heating up, not being able to adjust quickly enough, gas poisoning, strange diseases. When our atmosphere heats up, it heats up for them too, their food dies (or doesn’t come for some plants), and their habitats are destroyed, whether it’s a forest fire, a disease, or just dying supplies, it has tragic results for all.

There are many things that humans are doing to try to prevent Global Warming. There are some high tech things that could solve many problems with one system such as the Natural State Reduction System. This is made to create a waste into a usable gas. It does this by taking the waste, taking out the valuable recyclables, then it is converted into Hydrogen and Carbon Monoxide, after this, they extract all the oxygen to create three usable sources without pollutants, then, they use a co-generator to produce electricity and heat and there you go, usable resources from rejected resources. Another example is hybrid cars. The hybrid cars are a big and easy way to help the earth. They are made so that you aren’t using all gas, some are made so that you either use gas or electricity and some of them are purely electricity. These cars may be not as powerful and may cost a little bit extra, but to save our whole planet, I personally think it’s worth it.

Society plays a big role in Global Warming. Some things are too expensive and they don’t want to “waste” their money on trying to save the planet, some places just think it’s a hoax, what they don’t realize is that it’s really not that difficult to be positive instead of negative. Many cities and communities are already doing things to help such as installing solar panels, water and wind turbines, recycling systems, and growing food in local parks. If just a few more places could start doing these things we are already on the way to a healthy planet. The government plays a big role in this too; if the government could support some of these cities and towns with supplies or money it would help people be more willing to try these technologies and systems. Pretty much, the world has to work together to fix this, give up a little bit of cash and save the whole planet.
